The preschool was founded in 1962 by a group of parents who felt the need to provide the best possible early learning to their toddlers. Until recently, the preschool still worked as a non-profit with a cooperative parent committee organization to take fundamental decisions with regard to finance, the calendar and the collection of background. For economic reasons, the Rosemère pre-school as a cooperative ceased operations in June 2014. The preschool is now administered by Carla Arrage, an early childhood educator who is also the preschool’s French educator and a former preschool mom.
- Rosemère Preschool has been part of our lives since 2003. My first son attended in 2003 until kindergarten and my daughter in 2005 until kindergarten and my youngest in 2013 and he will be there until kindergarten as well. There is no better place than the Rosemère Preschool for our children aged between 3 and 5. They learn, have fun, gain confidence and they are very ready to start elementary school. Since the Rosemère Preschool was my children’s first experience with school, they have maintained a positive attitude about school ever since. Keep up the good work!!~ Franca Riso
- The Rosemere Preschool has provided my son with the opportunity to learn in a bilingual, warm and educational environment. Carla and Sarah genuinely love what they do, something that is very evident when you watch them working with their students. They have created an imaginative daily schedule which incorporates learning into every fun filled activity. Using current teaching methods, they enthusiastically lead the children in every task. The children are encouraged, nurtured and praised and my son is very comfortable and happy there. He has formed friendships, learned how to follow a schedule and is being prepared for the challenges of Kindergarten. I would recommend this preschool whole-heartedly.
